Knit this winter hat with one skein of super bulky weight yarn and size 11 knitting needles.

This hat is knit with super bulky weight yarn, so it is very warm. It is also a very quick project to make, and quite simple. Even beginning knitters should be able to complete this project in a matter of hours. This hat can be worn by men or women, and it would be easy to make it more gender-specific by choosing a certain color of yarn. For a fun variation, consider adding a pom pom to the top of the hat once it is complete.

The pictured hat was knitted with Lion Brand Wool - Ease Thick & Quick yarn in color 123 Oatmeal. Any super bulky weight yarn can be used. The instructions are to make a roomy hat for the average sized adult's head, female or male. The pattern can be adapted for a smaller or larger hat by casting on fewer stitches and knitting a shorter crown.
