Placemat and Napkin Ring to Crochet - Jeris Swanhorst
A great way to brighten up a Spring or Summer table is with these easy to crochet napkin rings and placemats.

Many struggle with what to crochet during the warm seasons, Spring and Summer. It is no longer the time for mittens and scarves, and wool socks seem far from necessary, as well. Kitchen and tabletop items, on the other hand, prove to be a versatile, year round area for crochet.

One of the easiest, fastest projects that can be crocheted is a napkin ring. They require very little yarn to be made, and they can also be made in next to no time. The suggested material to use is cotton, which is commonly used for kitchen and tabletop items.

Napkin rings are a great addition to any table setting, and they go well with crocheted placemats, which can be made in coordinating colors. Placemats are simple to crochet, as well, since they require only a basic crochet stitch. They can be made in a variety of colors of cotton, and multicolored cottons work particularly well, such as the cottons from Lily Sugar 'n Cream's Culinary Colors collection.
