Choosing Yarn
For this project, select yarn that has easy care instructions. The pictured table runner is made with Lily Sugar 'n Cream yarn in Snow Blossom. This yarn is machine washable and can be placed in the dryer. Keep in mind that it will shrink if put in the dryer, so it is best to lay it flat to dry. Any medium-weight yarn will produce a similar result. For a more basic look, choose a solid color or a solid color edged with a contrast color. For overhang on a 8-10 person dining table, more yarn will be needed. It is always a good idea to purchase all of the yarn for a project at once. That ensures that the yarn will be the same color. Different dye lots can produce slightly different results.
