Jeris Swanhorst
After earning a Bachelor's degree in English, Literature from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2005, Jeris Swanhorst went on to earn a Master's degree in English, Literature from the same University. Although her focus area was American Literature, she's studied British Literature, World Literature, and Film, as well.
Since 2006 Jeris has taught college English and Literature courses for MSU, Mankato. Courses Jeris has taught include Compostion, Introduction to Literature, Introduction to Prose Literature, and 20th Century American Literature. From 2008-2010, Jeris taught English and Literature for Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Jeris is currently a Writing Center Adjunct for Kaplan University, working as a Writing Coach.
In additon to teaching, she has also published book reviews for The Corresponder (Fall 2006 and Fall 2008), a publication through Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Jeris is also interested in a variety of crafts, including knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, and quilting; many of her Suite 101 articles are in this topic.
